Our Training Daisy format is a blended learning approach, which means it combines face to face and online training. Training your workforce through face-to-face delivery alone places a huge strain on your budget. E-learning has become a very popular financial solution over recent years. However, it is widely recognised now that this format has its limitations.

The Training Daisy is a powerful combination of the two formats. It ensures that knowledge consumed through e-learning is checked and participants are given sufficient opportunity to discuss real-world implementation.

Generally, in any live training session, the participants will have very different knowledge levels. An adept trainer will ensure that everybody is included, but the situation can leave some participants feeling that they have not been sufficiently stretched, whilst others struggle to understand the subject matter. The result in both cases is disengagement and minimal learning outcomes from the session…. which is not good enough!

The Training Daisy format means that in the weeks leading up to the live workshop everybody has consumed the same units of e-learning. This makes for an instantly cohesive group that can reflect on their learning together and clarify any mute points before moving onto an even deeper level of understanding.

The Training Daisy is a bespoke Blended Learning package. It includes between 6 “Petal” topics via e-learning, and one live training workshop covering a central “Theme Topic”.

The live workshop focuses on Values, Beliefs, Skills and Competencies.  It is also an opportunity for learners to discuss anything that came up for them through their individual study. Participants are given 4-6 weeks to complete the petal modules before they come together for the live workshop.

Participants have fed back that this way of training is unlike any they have experienced before. The cohesion in the room on the day was palpable, as everybody had the same background knowledge to explore and enrich. They also benefitted from having the time to actually action plan how they would implement their learning immediately with the young people in their care.

For commissioners, these training packages also include complimentary access to the “Learning Gateway” – a powerful Training Management tool that will enable you to easily track all learner attendance and assessments.

Together we will create a training package that is bespoke to the needs of your agency. We will identify the individual topics that can be adequately covered through an E-learning format and then design a workshop that will pull all the themes together and achieve a much deeper learning.

When you do take our online courses as stand-alone modules we can assure you that you will not find them to be “click-through” exercises. They are designed to be engaging and thought-provoking, and always include quizzes to assess understanding.

Each “Training Daisy” package includes one central face-to-face workshop and 6 e-learning topics. The cost of this for a cohort of 15 -20 people is just £650, compared to a cost of around £2,500 for covering this many topics through face-to-face delivery!

Early in 2017 we set ourselves the challenge of creating a solution for all the time pressured training managers we have worked with over the last 10 years. We wanted to create something that would considerably reduce their administrative burden in the most cost effective way possible.

We feel that the Learning Gateway fully meets this demand. As well as enabling you to track learner progress with simple to use Progress Charts and Reporting Tools it will also significantly reduce your day-to-day course administration.

Each of our learning modules have been developed to be Ofsted compliant. Your Learning Gateway will give you instant access to all the evidence you are required to present during an inspection.

Assessment is an integral part of the Training Daisy experience. Quizzes feature in each of our e-learning modules. Participants will also complete a short on-line assessment after their live workshop. You will be able to set the pass rate for each course (we would suggest around 90%).  A certificate will be produced upon successful completion of this assessment.

Through your learning gateway you will be able to track the progress of each participant, as well as accessing clear data for each course you have commissioned. Having this kind of information at your fingertips significantly reduces the administrative strain of pulling together data for internal meetings and Ofsted inspections. Our system records the feedback and data required for all of your team’s CPD requirements.

Our e-learning courses are designed to be engaging, informative and provide lasting knowledge of a subject. What really sets us apart is the way in which we incorporate the service users voice into our materials. For example, you will find video interviews with young people in several of the modules. As well as video, we also use interactive tools and quizzes to aid engagement and embed learning.

Participants have their own online area where they can start and stop their learning as it suits them. This also gives them a place to refer to and build their CPD record.

Commissioners can see how each learner is progressing and pull off information and reports at the click of a button.

Each e-learning module will take aprox 45-80 minutes to complete. Participants will be able to pause and return to their learning as it suits them. Commissioners can impose deadlines as they wish.

When undertaking a “Blended Training Daisy” program it will be important for participants to have completed all e-learning modules before they attend their live workshop. When we create your training plan together we will allow for this.

Participants will receive emails throughout their learning journey to keep them on track and remind them of deadlines.

Yes certificates will be generated upon completion and assessment of each course. Both training managers and learners can chose to print these off at any time.

Absolutely – all learners will be able to download additional tools and resources relevant to each course.

Every course is accompanied by a workbook that gives prompts for learning and encourages deeper reflection.
